The F-Series

Conner Company - Renovation Project in Charlotte

We are doing exterior wall replacement on the Atkins Library at The University of North Carolina in Charlotte. The part of the building we are working on is floors 5 (five) through 10 (ten), which is above the roof of the lower floors. We are working off scaffolding that is setting on the roof of the lower levels. The job consists of taking off the old building skin and bolting steel supports to the existing concrete structure. Then we are putting on a new brick veneer over new metal framing and sheeing.
We decided to use the Hydro Mobile F-Series because of the travel speed and convince of working height. Also, the safety of this type of scaffold is a big factor.
We needed the travel speed because there is no access to the scaffold from the floors as the building is occupied during construction. This means the scaffold will be traveling up and down on a regular basis several times per day.
The F-Series is doing a good job for the demolition, steel support system, and metal framing and sheeing. It also has enough capacity for the brickwork.

The scaffolding is working very well and we feel we made a good choice in using the Hydro Mobile F-Series
