Pockar

Pockar group of companies

We first purchased Hydro Mobile - M1 Series in 2000 for construction of a large theatre in Calgary. It was the first climbing scaffold used in Alberta.

Back in 2003 we upgraded to the M2 Series and started using it for the construction of masonry on buildings 20 to 30 stories high. We are now using Hydro Mobile - M2 Series long with P and F Series on the consecutive construction of 3 hospitals, one of them being the largest building in western Canada with about 38 power units plus related bridges currently under construction. Overhead hoarding frames and material hoists were added to the M2 fleet obtained from Hydro Mobile Inc.

Advantages that we have found using Hydro Mobile mast climbing scaffolding equipment are:

  1. Reduction of safety concerns since there has been recent changes to safety codes and regulations.
  2. Manpower is reduced in aetting up and dismantling Hydro Mobile system.
  3. Increased daily productivity because of easy height adjustment and more room for mansory mterials and equipment on platform.
  4. Adding the material hoists to the M2 Series has been very beneficial as it eliminates downtime in waiting for crane availability when supplied by others.
  5. Overhead protection and hoarding frames are very eficient as it is done only once and moves up as work progresses. The system also reduces the amount of hoarding equipment and heat.

We have been very satisfied with Hydro Mobile Inc. and their product, and impressed with the communication when needed from both Hydro Mobile Inc. and Hydro-West Scaffolding Ltd. The training to use the equipement and the local service from Hydro-West Scaffolding Ltd. has been beneficial. With Hydro Mobile equipment we know that we can continue to grow with this product and become more competitive as we are approaching a leaner construction market. We would recommend the equipment and service of Hydro Mobile Inc. and Hydro-West Scaffolding Ltd. to anyone with scaffold needs either low or higher applications.
